Burns began her television career as a supporting role of Peg from the Spanish-American teen comedy Out of the Blue (1995-1996). Burns was a member of the Baywatch cast in 1998. Then, she appeared on Baywatch: Hawaii's second Baywatch: Hawaii version until her pregnancy forced her to end the show.
